Mission, Vision & History
The New Jersey Primary Care Association (NJPCA) is a non-profit corporation that represents the organizational providers and affiliates of community-based ambulatory health care statewide.
Located in Hamilton, New Jersey, the NJPCA has as its goal the expansion and provision of quality, cost-effective and efficient primary health care.
NJPCA serves as the major link between Community Health Centers (CHCs), their satellite sites and the United States Public Health Service, the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services, the New Jersey Department of Human Services, county and local governments.
NJPCA provides a forum for communication between the providers of primary health care relative to administrative, managerial and clinical issues.
NJPCA promotes the provision of comprehensive, quality health care to the medically underserved. NJPCA also works toward effective solutions which assure that quality care is available to all regardless of ability to pay.
NJPCA seeks new and expanded revenue sources for the delivery of primary care and promotes equitable reimbursement mechanisms for CHCs.
NJPCA promotes education and training opportunities for the development of staff and board members of CHCs and ensures the maintenance of professional standards of persons in CHCs who are making policy decisions, administering, and providing services to the community served.
NJPCA serves as liaison with consumer and other provider groups.
NJPCA publicizes the unique interests of CHCs and other primary care providers.
NJPCA gathers, compiles, and disseminates pertinent information to the staffs and Boards of CHCs and other primary care providers.
NJPCA provides a vehicle whereby CHCs may collectively exercise self-determination and self-help in meeting the current crises and future challenges to adequate health care in their respective communities.
NJPCA unites for joint action on issues of common interest to CHCs in the State of New Jersey.
NJPCA promotes and provides community health education to all primary health care providers.
