If it hasn’t already, value-based payment is coming to health center oral health programs in the very near future. Many state Medicaid programs are starting to roll out pilots or incorporate elements of value-based payment in plan design as a means to achieve the Triple Aim. Change is always unsettling, but health center dental programs are uniquely well-positioned to succeed in this new era of oral health value-based care. This session will educate and empower health center and dental leaders to design and implement an oral health value-based system of care.

Dr. Mark J. Doherty, DMD, MPH, CCHP
Executive Director, D4 Practice Solutions
Dr. Mark Doherty founded and currently serves as the Executive Director of D4 Practice Solutions, which provides highly effective and proven technical assistance and practice management consulting to dental programs nationwide. He is a frequent presenter and educator on value-based care on both a national and regional level.
Dr. Doherty previously served as Executive Director of Oral Health Value-Based Care at the DentaQuest Institute, and then Partnership. He founded and led the DentaQuest Institute’s Safety Net Solutions program, which during his tenure provided practice management technical assistance and training to over 550 safety net dental programs in over 46 states over the course of 13 years.
