Responsibilities/Duties:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to children from infancy through adolescence, encompassing preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses and injuries
- Monitor growth and development and advise parents on health and wellness
- Administer necessary vaccinations according to recommended schedules
- Prescribes medications and therapies
- Counsels and parents
- Analyze and interpret data, formulate diagnosis and problem lists, and establish plans to manage common and complex chronic conditions, and health problems
- Treat problems within their scope of competence and exercise judgment on problems requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation
- Contributes to quality performance measures, regulatory compliance, training programs, and research initiatives
- Precepts and collaborates with other staff members/disciplines to improve the patient experience
- Participates in team meetings and activities of PCMH (Primary Care Medical Home) directly or indirectly
- Enters into Joint Collaboration Agreements with one or more NHCAC Advance Practice Nurses
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Active Medical License in the State of New Jersey
- Board Certification in Pediatric Medicine
- Current BCLS
- Current DEA Certificate
