Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to children from infancy through adolescence, encompassing preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses and injuries
  • Monitor growth and development and advise parents on health and wellness
  • Administer necessary vaccinations according to recommended schedules
  • Prescribes medications and therapies
  • Counsels and parents
  • Analyze and interpret data, formulate diagnosis and problem lists, and establish plans to manage common and complex chronic conditions, and health problems
  • Treat problems within their scope of competence and exercise judgment on problems requiring consultation, referral, or evaluation
  • Contributes to quality performance measures, regulatory compliance, training programs, and research initiatives
  • Precepts and collaborates with other staff members/disciplines to improve the patient experience
  • Participates in team meetings and activities of PCMH (Primary Care Medical Home) directly or indirectly
  • Enters into Joint Collaboration Agreements with one or more NHCAC Advance Practice Nurses

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Active Medical License in the State of New Jersey 
  • Board Certification in Pediatric Medicine 
  • Current BCLS 
  • Current DEA Certificate 
  • As a condition of employment, all staff must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Thus, all new employees are required to be fully vaccinated and provide documentation of their COVID-19 vaccination.
